Young Leaders have a try out!

The Young Leaders in Year 6 have been training for 4 weeks. They have learnt about using space, equipment, and creating their own games. The have tested them out, and taken it in turns to take the lead. They couldn't wait to try out their games for real! So today was the moment of truth.... We invited Reception RL and RD to see if the games would work...Year 6 took many lessons from today, and really enjoyed themselves as did Reception!! More news too follow...

Something is bubbling in year 5... Volcanoes!

                Year 5 have have begun to put together a dance, based on their topic of Natural Disasters. They have been thinking about how a Volcano behaves. They looked at this poem:



The Volcano

Smoking and smouldering
Menacing gloom,
Trembling and shaking
Impending doom.

Louder and stronger,
Imprisoned rage,
Angrier, fiercer,
Final outrage.


Explosion, then free
Ruthless and flaming,
Devouring and frightening,
Down to the sea.
