Then is was time to have a go for real! Well done Year 6 for all your hard work, you have been brilliant!!

We also had a practice with the Reception children to see what it would be like, and how they might react to our games.....

Our Young Leader training continued to get underway, and as part of the Young Leader training the children made a plan in their groups. We talked about safety, equipment, what to do if there is an emergency.

Young Leader training....

Young Leader training gets underway!

Our new Young Leaders are now half way through their training.

Each week, they have been thinking about warming up, and creating a game they can explain and demonstrate to other groups.

Selecting the right equipment is very important.

The Young Leaders had to think about the S.T.E.P principle which is:

S SPACE              where you are going to do the activity

T TASK                 what you are going to do

E EQUIPMENT what will you use

P PEOPLE               who will you do the activity with

Sports day 2013... we finally reach the finish line!

After a washout for our original Sports Day on 28th June, it was time to try again. So after carefully checking the current weather, and with crossed fingers we had another go!
The weather : perfect.
The atmosphere: electric.
The Parents: ready with cameras to catch the action.
The Teachers and Teaching Assistants: brilliant at supporting and keeping the day running smoothly. The Children: Raring to go!!!!!
